Laurel completed her B.Sc Pharmacology in Nottingham, UK where she explored NMDA-Receptor subunit dynamics using molecular neuroscience techniques. Keen to learn more about higher order function in humans, she pursued an M.Sc Neuroscience at University College London where she chose cognitive neuroscience modules. For her Masters research project she explored decision-making in humans under the supervision of Professor Ray Dolan at the Functional Imaging Lab, Queen Square. She received a distinction award for her outstanding coursework and research project, which is currently being reviewed for publication. Laurel is most interested in neuropsychopharmacology, which combines all aspects of her training so far. She is keen to understand psychiatric disorders at all levels from molecular, to systems, to cognitive and plans to start graduate studies in this area in the near future.
