Dr. Tracy Butler is a neurologist with research fellowship training in functional neuroimaging of neuropsychiatric disease and clinical fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. Her research uses PET, fMRI, and complementary electrophysiological techniques to examine cognitive and emotional processing in normal and patient populations, focusing on neuropsychiatric aspects of epilepsy, with special attention to sex differences in patterns of brain activity. She also studies the role of neuroinflammation in epilepsy and other neuropsychiatric disorders. Dr. Butler is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the New York University Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Neurology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she performs neurological consultations for patients hospitalized at New York Presbyterian Hospital’s Westchester Division.
