Dr. Epstein’s work focuses on neural correlates and neurocognitive aspects of conscious and nonconscious affective and motivational processing in the context of psychiatric disorders. Within that framework, she has been involved in studies of affective, anxiety, psychotic, personality and eating disorders as in investigator in the Functional Neuroimaging Laboratory. She is particularly interested in hierarchical aspects of brain function.
